I will be getting on the ice this summer to use my love for hockey to help raise money for kids and families battling childhood cancer. Last year I exceeded my fundraising goal, and had a great time at camp where I worked on my hockey and leadership skills throughout the week!

What is a LivSports Hockey Camp?

LivSports is a program presented by LivFree, a pediatric cancer nonprofit that provides moments of joy to kids and families in the childhood cancer community. The mission of LivSports is to empower youth athletes to use their passion for sports as a platform for good. 

This is accomplished through the implementation and execution of the LivSports Champion's Curriculum which serves as the guide for LivSports Camps and Jamborees. Because of this, a LivSports event fuses compassion with competition. It also empowers athletes to take control of their controllables, teaches them to face their obstacles with courage, strives to create growth through reflection, and provides an environment of support so athletes can embrace challenges. 

At the LivSports Hockey Camp, these guiding principles are developmentally adapted for each specific age group and are purposefully ingrained in all the activities and drills participants will take part in.
