Dan Styczynski Wants to Race for the Homeless

Hey everybody, I'm looking for help. Help in raising money for a great organization and to help ease my racing addiction detox until next May.
This is my fourth year driving for the Studio21 racing team at the Drive 4 155 karting event, a 3 hour go-kart endurance race at Autobahn country club in Joliet on June 14th. It is truly an honor to try to defend my 3 championships with this team! But what is more important is how much money we can raise. (And the starting grid is based on how much each team raises).
Last year's event raised over $155,000 to help house and support the homeless of DuPage County, but that was a down year for this event. They used previous race funds to buy the old Red Roof Inn along I88 to provide more secure and stable housing for those in need. Growing up I saw first hand what the PADS program would entail. Every Monday night after my Boy Scout meetings, we would break down the tables and chairs and put them in the closet, and bring out the PADS mattresses for the next day. It was truly an eye-opening experience to do as an 11 year old on a weekly basis to think about what other people were going through.

But this year means so much more, knowing that there are families with small children like my new son Liam that are in need of assistance and a place for that child to spend the night.  Those are kids trying to get ready for school in the morning that might otherwise be in the street or a car the night before.

This year's event goal is to raise $155,000 for the cause. Any donations possible would be so appreciated! Please consider donating to this fantastic cause and support my racing fix for the year.

DuPage Pads is so much more than a pad on the floor. DuPage Pads is about the journey home. It's about the journey from dependency to self-sufficiency. Not the shelter. Not the nights spent in a car, in a motel room or on the street. DuPage Pads is a journey that begins with an extended hand, an affirming voice, and a trusting soul that will advocate undividedly for each individual. The solution to end homelessness starts with housing.
DuPagePads IS the solution to end homelessness-because when someone believes in you, everything can change. For more information please visit https://dupagepads.org
