On August 11, 2019, our lives changed forever.  We lost our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Matthew, to an opioid overdose.  Imagine is a growing organization that provides free, year-round grief support for children and families coping with loss due to death.  The Imagine community helped our family heal after losing Matthew.  We are forever grateful to Imagine for their support and commitment to ensuring EVERY family in NJ has access to this free support.

In addition to providing grief support at its two centers in Mountainside and Newark, Imagine provides grief education and training to schools, agencies, and workplaces, and on-site support after any traumatic loss. Greta’s Run was founded in memory of Greta Schoenemann. Greta was a freshman when Matthew was a senior at Westfield High School.  Greta died from injuries sustained when a tree branch fell on her and her classmates during lunch.  Although Matthew was not an avid runner, he would be LEADING the pack to support Greta's family and Imagine's mission to help children learn how to continue to live a fulfilled and healthy life after the experiencing the loss of a loved one. 

It costs Imagine $2,000 per year to support one child and $5,000 to support an entire family with free, year-round grief support. When you donate to Team MTT, you are directly helping Imagine provide critical services to children, teens, and adults during one of the most difficult points in their life.
