Pedal the Cause

This year will be my 12th year riding in Pedal the Cause and it all started with my little brother Jason Hill, who rode in the first PTC event, and for several years after, despite having advanced head and neck cancer.  Some years he rode 50 miles in this ride just days after having chemo.  He was an amazing and inspiring person, athlete, father/brother/husband/son/friend, and a passionate advocate for cancer research.  A week before he died, he was working in New York City.  He never, ever gave up, and this was reflected in every part of his life.  He had multiple surgeries, chemo, radiation - all of it brutal.  He did all of this after watching our mother go through the same thing before she died in 2001 from ovarian cancer.  Jason died in 2016 at the age of 45.

I ride in honor of Jason, and in hopes that all of the innovative research that is funded by Pedal the Cause and the millions they raise each year will bring about advances that will prevent others from having to go through what he and our mom did, and what our family has been through.  I am deeply humbled and grateful for the support I receive each year, most of it from people who didn't know him.  I hope you can join us in funding research that will help ALL of us - because we're all touched by this disease.  The best part is that 100% of all donations go toward research - NONE to administrative costs.
