I’m proud to share that I’ll be lacing up my skates for the LivSports 24-Hour Adult Hockey Marathon, supporting LivFree, an incredible pediatric cancer nonprofit dedicated to creating Moments of Joy for children and families facing cancer.
As President of Christopher’s Haven in Boston, I see firsthand the challenges families endure when their child is in treatment. Christopher’s Haven provides a home away from home with nine apartments located across from Massachusetts General Hospital and within walking distance of TD Garden. Each year we house 50–60 children and their families who travel from across New England—and even from as far as Europe and Australia—so they can access lifesaving care.
Through LivFree’s Moments of Joy, these families get something they rarely experience during treatment: a break. Whether it’s attending a game, seeing a Broadway show, enjoying a concert, or simply having a night out together, these moments bring light during an incredibly difficult journey.
I’m taking on the challenge of skating for 24 hours to turn my passion for hockey into a platform for good. Your support will help bring more Moments of Joy to the children and families staying at Christopher’s Haven.
Every donation—no matter the size—helps make a difference and brings me closer to my fundraising goal. Thank you for helping us create joy when it’s needed most.
