Pedal the Cause

This wonderful event allows me to combine two passions, my love of bike riding and how much I hate cancer! Pedal the Cause is a perfect opportunity for you to do something to create a world without cancer. I am living proof that progress is being made in the fight to cure cancer. Hard to believe that it’s now been 16 years since I was first seen at Siteman Cancer Center at Washington University in St. Louis and received the surprising news that I had non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, SLL/CLL. After 10 years the clinical trial I was in ended. I consider myself so fortunate that the drug being studied worked to keep my symptoms in check and side effects minimal.  My hope is that more people with lymphoma/leukemia will achieve remission and live a wonderful life even with cancer! Since its inception, Pedal the Cause has raised over $55 million with 100% is given directly to fund cancer research.
