Pedal the Cause

This year, I’m riding and fundraising for Pedal the Cause in memory of my dad, David.

My dad was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in October 2025. Over the eight months that followed, he endured more than 140 days in the hospital, undergoing aggressive chemo and full-body radiation, and in March, he received a life-saving stem cell transplant. In April, he achieved full remission, effectively conquering his cancer diagnosis. He was a competitor through and through, and he took on this challenge with such strength and determination.

We're devastated to share that on June 6, 2026, he passed away from infectious complications related to his treatment.

Our family is infinitely grateful for the Doctors, Nurses and Medical professionals who cared for my dad with such compassion and kindness throughout every step of this journey. 

Pedal the Cause directly funds cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center, helping advance new treatments and improve outcomes for future patients and families. We saw first hand the importance of cutting-edge research and clinical trials in the fight against cancer.
