If you know me, you know I’m an avid animal lover. My passion for animals runs so deep that I turned it into action by transitioning my career into the animal welfare field—and it was truly the best decision I’ve ever made. 😉
A few years ago, I joined the Jacksonville Humane Society, a place where we strive to make a difference in the lives of both animals and people every single day. In 2024 alone, JHS opened their doors to over 8,500 homeless pets, performed more than 6,600 spay and neuter surgeries, and helped nearly 5,000 families through our Pet Help Center. It’s been an honor to witness the profound impact JHS has on our community.
One part of my work that’s especially close to my heart is caring for animals in need of foster care, particularly during the early stages of their lives. Since joining JHS, I’ve welcomed many foster animals into my home, primarily neonatal kittens who require round-the-clock care. This includes bottle feeding (yes, just like a human baby!), heat support, temperature checks, and lots of cuddles.💗
The magic and love that each animal receives at JHS wouldn’t be possible without your generosity and care. Please consider making a gift today in honor of all JHS animals, whether they’re 10 days old or 10 years old. They deserve the world, and thanks to your support, their lifesaving care can become a reality.
With love,
Marin
