USHthis camp isn't just any ordinary summer camp! It's life changing!
Walking into camp was scary. I didn't want to be there at first because of the fear of the unknown but as the week went by, I learned so much about myself and Usher Syndrome. For the first time, I was confident in my own skin.
Camp is an experience one only dreams about. Spending a week with other individuals just like myself is always a breath of fresh air and I can't wait to go back to see my friends, who are now like family.
Not only have I've built strong lifelong friendships, but I've also been given the experience to explore new place and "see" the beauty of other states. Camp has also built my confidence and self-advocacy skills about the challenges I face daily with Usher Syndrome and the unknown that my future holds.
I've learned that it's ok to ask for help. I now have hope for my future and a passion for helping younger kids with Usher Syndrome feel confident with their diagnosis.
Please help me continue my dream by supporting me to attend USHthis Camp 2026!
