Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2026 Mercy Race for the Future 5K & 1-Mile Walk, benefiting Mercy Health Services.
A big "Dankeschön" {german= thank you} to everyone who donated so far.
This is how the story will go:
Five-year-old Nola stands at the starting line of the Race for the Future, bouncing with excitement. This is her second 5K, and she feels like a real athlete. She loves sports—running, jumping, racing—anything that makes her feel strong.
“Ready?” her mom asks.
Nola nods. “I was born ready.”
The race begins, and Nola runs beside her mom, her little legs moving fast. At first she sprints, then remembers to slow down. “Strong athletes keep going,” she tells herself when she gets tired.
They pass cheering crowds, and Nola smiles the whole way.
Then she sees it—the finish line.
“I see it!” she shouts, taking off as fast as she can.
She crosses with her arms in the air, beaming. Her mom hugs her tight as a medal is placed around her neck.
“I did it!” Nola says proudly.
Then she looks up, already excited.
“Can we do Race for the Future again?”
