I have a new guy in my life! Hudson is my six year old hero and one more enormous reason why I am so committed to Pedal The Cause.
RIght before Thanksgiving 2019, when Hudson was just two years old, he was diagnosed with anapestic ependymoma. Before his fifth birthday, Hudson endured five brain surgeries and two rounds of radiation, in addition to numerous scans, hospital stays and rounds of rehabilitation at Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital. My friend Hudson endured his sixth brain surgery this past May and his family is optimistic that he will continue to grow and thrive. His hugs are tight and being his friend - is priceless. I am reminded daily of how we are all touched by cancer, and how urgent my role is to raise as much as possible for pediatric and adult cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center & Siteman Kids - now a Top Ten Cancer Hospital in the United States.
Last year, Pedal the Cause raised $4.3 million, and the 2023 goal is to surpass $5 million. I hope you will contribute to this goal with a gift of $50 or whatever amount is good for you, and please know.....100% of whatever you give, will go straight to early-stage cancer research which is the pathway to achieving a world without cancer, in our lifetime.
