Pedal the Cause

I am riding again in the Pedal the Cause fundraiser in September. This is an important charity, all the money goes to support cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s hospital. Pedal the Cause is the region’s most impactful movement to end cancer and directly funds cancer research in St. Louis and specifically at Wash U Siteman and Children’s hospital. These funds have been used to directly support research so it can grow ideas that can subsequently be supported by major outside funding. The organizers estimate that for every dollar raised by Pedal the Cause, the researchers have generated $14 in outside funding and since 2010 this means half a billion dollars. I been doing this for many years and I do appreciate your support. I especially appreciate support for the Cardio-Oncology team which keeps our visibility in the larger cancer community up.

Every penny of every dollar donated funds innovative cancer research at Siteman Cancer Center and Siteman Kids at St. Louis Children's Hospital, driving new treatments, clinical trials and discoveries that are improving patient outcomes. The race itself is funded by industrial sources.
