Meet Dion!

Hi I'm Dion and this is my second year being a part of the ASCV 5K. You can usually find me outside climbing a tree, playing in the sand/dirt, or at the beach. I love anything with wheels - cars, trucks, buses. Need help naming a vehicle; just ask, I probably know it! Basicaly if it vrooms, I'm a fan. I'm excited for you to join my team. Let's have some fun and enjoy the Family Fun Day together. 

We're excited to participate in the 2026 ASCV 5K & Family Fun Day, raising funds for the Autism Society of Central Virginia (ASCV)! Dion sees the world in such a unique and joyful way. Watching him learn, grow, and share his interests has been an incredible journey for our family. This event isn’t just about crossing the finish line—it’s about coming together to support, grow awareness and bring families together right here in our community. 

Every donation — whether it’s $5 or $500 — makes a difference! Funds raised help ASCV provide:

⭐ Social & recreational programs for autistic individuals of all ages
⭐ Support groups & resources for families and caregivers
⭐ Community trainings & advocacy to foster acceptance and inclusion
⭐ Scholarships & financial assistance to help families access services

Last year alone, ASCV hosted 460+ programs for more than 11,200 participants —but the need continues to grow. Many programs now have waitlists, and demand for services is higher than ever.
