Pedal the Cause

This year, I’m riding in Pedal the Cause in memory of my dad, David.

My dad was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in October 2025. Over the next eight months, our family navigated countless hospital stays, treatments, complications, and moments of both hope and uncertainty. He underwent a stem cell transplant and fought with incredible strength and determination throughout his journey.

On June 6, 2026, my dad passed away following complications related to his treatment.

Throughout every step of that journey, the team at Siteman Cancer Center provided extraordinary care. The doctors, nurses, and staff cared not only for my dad, but for our entire family. Their skill, compassion, and commitment meant more to us than words can express.

That is why I am riding.

Pedal the Cause directly funds cancer research at Siteman, helping accelerate new treatments and improve outcomes for future patients and families facing cancer. While research was not able to save my dad, I am hopeful that the work being done today will help save others tomorrow.

I ride in his memory, and in support of every family facing a similar journey.
