Information

Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley (FIAGKV) and its volunteers provide free services to our older neighbors, aged 60 and up, in Kanawha and Putnam counties of West Virginia. We have a range of programs for our care receivers to choose from, depending on their need. These include transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping assistance, weekly reassurance calls, and minor home repairs through our Honey Do Crews.

Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley is building a community of neighbors who want to look out for one another and take care of each other, but don’t know where to start. We exist to facilitate relationships between people who have a little time or experience to give and seniors in our community who need an assist from a friendly face from time to time.

Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit, supported through the generosity of individual and business donors, congregations, special event fundraising projects and local foundations. Every dollar we receive is spent right here in the communities we serve, helping to improve the lives of our older neighbors.
