How your donation will help KOAH:
The Kids Of America's Heroes Award; a Financial Award is given to students who have chosen military service after high school. The graduating senior must be enrolled in a Military Academy or Enlisted for any branch of Military Service at the time of graduation.*
Help KOAH defray the expense of sending KOAH Hugs; KOAH proudly sends monthly letters and tokens of appreciation to military kids whose parent(s) are deployed to thank them for their sacrifice, because when a parent serves, so does their family. Military-connected Kids receive monthly KOAH Hugs throughout their parental deployment.
*Criteria for The Kids Of America's Heroes Award: Graduating senior choosing military service after graduation. They Must have a family member within 2 generations who have served any branch of the military and chooses to take on military service after graduation. To submit, please write a brief essay that will be reviewed by a double-blind committee and submit it to your high school Guidance Counselor. The deadline for the 2022-23 school year Award is 4/30/2023.
*Disclosure for The Kids Of America's Heroes Award: This is a $1,000 Award for the Student. This Award does not require the Student to pay back any or some of the total. This Award is taxable.
KOAH is a community organization assisting kids of Active Duty Military, deployed National Guard, and Reserve Force. We offer Military-connected Kids initiatives and programs designed to alleviate fear, sense of loss, and anticipatory grief some Kids Of America's Heroes attempt to navigate during the deployment cycle. We help military families. Our mission is to Advocate, Educate and Connect Military-connected Kids to Their Communities.
