IRIS is seeking donors for our first ever public art project!

Working with partners in Newton, Iowa, where IRIS founder Bob Anderson began the organization 32 years ago. The theme of the mural will be: Food, Fabric and Faces of Different Cultures that make a great Iowa Community. We chose the theme as it embodies the variety of influences people from around the world bring to a small community such as Newton. It matches IRIS’ mission of Connection Iowa to Communities Worldwide and brings a message of the importance of cultural diversity at a very local level. The mural scheduled for Legacy Plaza in Newton will depict cultures who have impacted the community through exchange programs, immigrant populations, refugee communities, and more. You can help by donating online at this site or sending a check to: IRIS, 1401 50th St., Ste 102, West Des Moines, IA 50266.
