BIOGRAPHY

A multi-sport athlete in high school, she, Alexis Belton, was a 2015 NAIA Honorable Mention All America selection at Texas Wesleyan University, and during her sophomore season captured the women's individual title at 2013 at the PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship (today’s PGA Collegiate Works Championship). She Currently is an LPGA Epson Tour player. Belton is ranked No. 3 in the World for the World Long Drive and the No. 1-ranked American. She is a two-time event winner on the World Long Drive Tour with a career-best drive of 357 yards. She is in her second consecutive season on the Symetra Tour. Belton has been a member of the Players Board for World Long Drive and was the 2020 Capital Long Drive Individual Women’s Champion. Off the course, she hosts a “Send It” golf program sponsored by Morning Read. Belton finished in the top 4 in the 2017 World Long Drive Championship using a standard driver; won a 2019 World Long Drive Tennessee Big Shots event; and won an event in the 2018 Clash in the Canyons on the World Long Drive Tour. Belton was a top-10 finisher in the 2018 Australian Ladies Tour Yamba event. Belton advanced to the second stage of LPGA Qualifying School, which provided her 2019 Symetra Tour Road to the LPGA status. She has competed on the Cactus Tour, National Women’s Golf Association, Australian Tour, Symetra Tour, and the World Long Drive Tour.  

In 2013, Belton was the first medalist in the UT-Tyler’s Al Jones Memorial, and the 2016 LWGA Four-Ball Championship (with Sydney Martien). From 2015-to 16, she was an assistant golf coach at Texas Wesleyan University.

Belton participated in The First Tee of Fort Worth, an international youth development organization where she was a leader and introduced the game of golf and its inherent values to young people. She also has been active with Pop’s Garage, where children across Fort Worth can pursue athletics, develop character and play sports. She also has been an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes summer camps and the College Golf Fellowship. Additionally, she has participated in international initiatives such as Athletes in Action, and Kenya projects.
