Columbus Running Company Charity Fund - Grasshoppers Uganda Project Donation Logo

The Columbus Running Company Charity Fund is a 501c3 organization evolved from our mission to benefit both the running and local communities. The CRC Charity Fund focuses its efforts on youth running participation through scholarships to the Grasshoppers Running Club and providing discounted race timing and logistics support to a small number of approved 501c3 races that have both the athlete and charity in mind. The CRC Charity Fund also supports the Love2Reach charity training program, which selects a local non-profit to promote and raise much-needed funds for while training its members for their distance running goals.

The Grasshoppers Uganda Project

The Grasshoppers Uganda Project is a collaboration between CRC, incredible volunteers led by Krista Seibert, and our friends in and from Uganda.  The Project provides school funding for young girls while empowering them through education and athletics.

The Grasshoppers Uganda Project supports the academic and athletic growth of young girls in Bukomero UG by providing opportunity through education and sports, allowing for female empowerment, future stability, and self-sustainability.

We fundraise in order to cover the cost of schooling for the young girls within the program. It takes $1,500 to send a girl to school for a year. Why the emphasis on female-focused education?  Read our deeper story here.
