The Playmakers Foundation offers year-round programming for youth and adults, inspiring and supporting our community in moving MORE and moving BETTER!

We provide FREE clinics weekly to our community that include Good Form Running, Good Form Walking, and Stretch, Strengthen & Roll. All clinics take place in the Playmakers Community Room.

These classes are designed to help people start or keep moving, while staying healthy and injury free. Clinics can also be offered off site, such as schools, clubs, and local businesses.


With the year-round Run/Walk and Triathlon teams, we support movement all year long!

Team Playmakers and the Playmakers Tri Team are membership-based clubs that provide weekly training opportunities and guidance from experienced team leaders and coaches. We keep membership costs low to offer an accessible option for those looking for additional support and camaraderie!

This FREE eight-week training program involves attending two weekly in-person one hour sessions with certified Good Form Running and Walking coaches from the Playmakers Foundation. Additionally, participants will receive weekly communications with training and nutrition tips, plus additional information. There are 8 locations throughout Greater Lansing.

The program culminates with a community 5K walk/run at Hawk Island Park.


Youth Programming

Kids Run Lansing is a FREE spring after-school running program designed to teach kids the foundations of running with Good Form and build a life long love of the sport and fitness. The Playmakers Foundation, in collaboration with the Lansing School District, will run this program at participating Lansing School District elementary schools.

The program runs for one hour after school on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with snacks provided.

Kids will be coached in running and proper form through Playmakers' Kids Run Club curriculum by Certified Good Form Running coaches. By the end of the program, all kids will complete a 2 Mile fun run finale!

In the spring and fall,  Playmakers partners with Meridian Township Parks to offer this unique fitness opportunity for children in 3rd-6th grades. Run Club participants receive Good Form Running coaching from certified Playmakers staff during eight training sessions which conclude with a Fun Run Finale! The goal is to promote fun, healthy, active lifestyles and help children get in shape for other sporting activities.

At each session, participants will learn proper dynamic warm-up techniques, Good Form Running practices, and play a fun game! Mileage starts low and gradually increases to a goal of 3 kilometers (1.85 miles) by the end of the program.
