π About DCRRC
DCRRC is a nonprofit running club based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area (DMV). Founded in 1961, the club offers a year-round schedule of races, training programs, weekly group runs, social events, and volunteer opportunities for runners of all ages and abilities.
Anyone! Runners of all ages, speeds, and experience levels are welcome β from first-time 5K participants to seasoned marathoners.
DCRRC was founded in 1961, making it one of the oldest and most established running clubs in the DMV region β with over 60 years of service to the local running community.
Yes. DCRRC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a chapter of the Road Runners Club of America (RRCA).

π Membership
Click Join on the DCRRC RunSignup page to access the signup form. You can choose from Individual, Family, or Student membership plans.
Individual: $35/year
Family: $50/year (all members must live in the same household and be related by birth, marriage, or other legal relationship)
Student: $25/year (full-time students)
Membership runs annually from December 1st through November 30th.
All memberships expire on November 30th of the current membership year. However, if you sign up on or after May 31st, your membership will be extended through November 30th of the following year β giving you more than 12 months of membership.

Yes! You are welcome to attend a Saturday Long Run, Wednesday Night Track, or Thursday Morning Track workout before committing to a membership. Group runs are open to non-members.
All membership fees are non-refundable. By completing registration and submitting payment, you agree that dues will not be refunded for any reason, including injury, relocation, scheduling conflicts, or voluntary cancellation. Memberships are non-transferable and valid for the current membership year only.

Yes! Members receive discounted or free entry to many DCRRC races. In addition, local and online running stores offer exclusive discounts to DCRRC members.

Yes! Weekly group runs and most group activities are free and open to non-members. For races, non-members are welcome to register online, though member pricing may not apply.
You must be logged into your RunSignup account when registering to receive the member discount. If you register without logging in, the system will not recognize your membership, and you will be charged the non-member rate.

The Snowball Series is DCRRC's set of winter races. Participants earn points based on both performance and participation. Races range from 5K to half-marathon distances. For questions about scoring or the series, email series@dcroadrunners.org.
The Bunion Derby Series is DCRRC's set of summer races. Participants earn points based on performance and participation. Races range from 5K to 10K distances. For questions, email series@dcroadrunners.org.
Both the Snowball Series and Bunion Derby Series award points based on a combination of finishing performance and participation across races in the series. Visit the race series rules page for more information.
Live race results are posted on the Results page of the DCRRC RunSignup site after each event. Final results are posted on the respective race website.

DCRRC will notify registered participants via email and post updates on the race page and social media channels. Participant safety is always the top priority.

Transfer options depend on the specific race and the circumstances of the cancellation. DCRRC may offer transfer or credit options, but these are not guaranteed. Details will be included in the cancellation notice.

No. Weekly group runs are open to everyone β members and non-members alike. They are a great way to try out the club before joining.
The Saturday Long Run (SLR) typically meets in the Arlington/DC area. Visit the Saturday-long-run page for the current meeting location, start time, and route details.
Track workouts accommodate a range of paces and fitness levels. Visit dcroadrunners.org/weekly-runs for pace group details for both the Wednesday Night and Thursday Morning workouts.

Volunteer opportunities are listed on the DCRRC site. Both members and non-members are welcome to help with races, coaching support, and club operations. Also, check upcoming events on the DCRRC membership page; all events require volunteers.
Volunteer roles include race-day support (course marshaling, water stations, finish line), administrative and operations support, coaching assistance, and event setup/breakdown.

On the RunSignup login page, click "Forgot Password" and enter your email address. You will receive a password reset link. If you do not see the email, check your spam folder.
Use the Membership Lookup tool on the DCRRC RunSignup homepage. Enter your email, first name, and last name (and optionally your membership number or ID) to view your current membership status.
If a membership already exists in the system under your email address, you can use the Claim Account option on the membership lookup to set up your RunSignup login and gain access to your membership record.
You must be logged into your RunSignup account at the time of registration for the system to recognize your membership and apply the discount. If you registered without logging in, contact the race director or use the Contact Us form on the DCRRC page for assistance.
