Dylan's Story

Hi Everyone! By now most of you know Dylan's story but for those who don't here we go! On April 16th, 2017 Dylan was declared brain dead due to car accident he was in on April 13th while coming home from college. WE cannot believe it will be 9 years of missing him. Dylan became a donor at 16 when he got his drivers license so we knew what his decision would be.

Dylan’s heart, liver, lungs, and kidneys were all successfully transplanted. His eyes were given to surgeons for research and he had 213 tissue grafts successfully taken from his body.

Dylan had a huge heart and was known for his HUGS – not only for his family, but pretty much anyone he encountered. To honor Dylan, we have declared his birthday, December 15, National #hugsfordylan Day. He knew how to love everyone and make them feel special, even acquaintances. This was because of his faith – his favorite Scripture in the Bible was 1 John 4:19 – We love because HE first loved us. Dylan lived this out.

Thank you for visiting our team page and helping us to support the 23rd Annual OneLegacy Donate Life Run/Walk benefitting the OneLegacy Foundation. A non-competitive 5K/1K Run/Walk to educate and inspire the community about organ, eye, and tissue donation with proceeds benefiting the OneLegacy Foundation.
