This is our second year participating in Run for It. Buckhannon Community Band is a non-profit organization , established in September 2023, with a mission to enrich the hills of West Virginia through music and to bring together musicians of all ages. Inspired by the vision of the Director, BJ Hoffman, BCB welcomes members from ages 12 to 100, and currently consists of 25 dedicated musicians, ranging in age from 13 to 83. Since its founding, BCB has become an integral part of local cultural life, embodying the motto, "There's Music in the Hills," fostering joy, connection, and pride throughout the community. Because of Run For It, BCB has been able to dream big and we have sponsored the first annual WV Community Band Festival that will occur May 2, 2026 in Buckhannon.
