Pedal the Cause

Registered to ride my 15th Pedal The Cause.  

This one hits a bit different for me.  There are two reasons why.  

The first is this is the 10 year anniversary of losing my father, John ‘The Hammer’ Christian, Sr to cancer.  I can’t think of a day that goes by that he doesn’t pop into my head because of something he taught me or did or said.  I miss him.  

The second is this is the 5 year anniversary of losing my best friend, Nick ‘The Knower’ Porter.   He is missed so dearly by his wife and kids.  The void that was left in our friend group has not been filled.  And never will be.  Nick was a 1 of 1.  

You don’t replace a Nick or a John.  But what you can do is try to build A World Without Cancer so others don’t have to.
