The guide will be available for download via QR code at packet pickup. In an effort to reduce waste, limited printed copies will be available. 

Important Reminders for Race Day

• The 4 on the 4th begins promptly at 8:00 a.m.
• Arrive early for parking and bib pickup.
• There is no race day registration.

Bib Number Information

• Participants must attend a packet pickup event to receive their bib. All events take place in the parking lot of Visions Headquarters where the race takes place. Please look for signage.
  • July 3rd from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
  • July 4th from 7:00-7:45 a.m.

Parking

• Athletes and volunteers will be requested to arrive at Visions HQ by heading to the East end of Country Club (Country Club and Hooper). 
• Athletes and volunteers will be able to park – orderly and safely – in the Visions HQ parking lot in designated locations.

Start Information

• Participants will be called to the starting line 5 minutes prior to the start of the race.
• The 4 on the 4th begins at 8:00 a.m. on Country Club Road.
• Please line up according to your projected finish time, with faster runners towards the front.
• The timing and scoring system will begin recording your time once you cross the starting line. Your net time will be your official time.

On the Course

• This is an open course, so headphones are strongly discouraged. Please always remain aware of your surroundings.
• There will be volunteer Road Marshals and/or Auxiliary Police at every intersection.
• Please refrain from spitting or projecting any other bodily fluid when around other athletes and volunteers.

Timing & Results

• The 4 on the 4th is officially timed by Falcon Race Timing.
• An electronic timing system will enable you to receive your net time, which will be your official time.
• The timing and scoring tag will be affixed to the back of your bib, and must not be bent, creased, or cracked for you to be scored, timed, and to appear among the results as an official finisher.
• Wear your bib on the front of your torso on your outer-most layer.
• Results will be posted online and printed within the race concourse after the race concludes.

Post Race 

• Post-race refreshments and hydration will be provided in the Athlete Village tent.
• Stop by the finishers tent, located immediately following the finish line, to collect your medal.
• Awards will begin promptly after the last runner crosses the finish line. There will be awards for the winners of overall, age group awards, and best dressed.

Medical Assistance

• UHS Sports Medicine and the Town of Union EMS will be on-site.
• Please alert a member of the medical team or event staff as soon as an injury occurs.

Official Photographer

• Van Zandbergen Photography is the official photographer of the 4 on the 4th.
• Each entrant will receive an email following the race with the link to download photographs for free.
