Aztlan Athletics and the City of Montebello is excited to once again be hosting the Montebello Heritage Festival 5K/10K. The run is part of the 3-day Heritage Festival in Montebello with the goal of making health and wellness accessible to all fitness levels.

The Annual Montebello Heritage 5K/10K Run course takes place along the historic Whittier Blvd. The 5k and 10k begin at 8:00 a.m. at Montebello City Park.

Beer Garden in the Park opens at 9am, DJ, Tamale vendor and coffee vendor will be available on site.

This event celebrates the unique community and culture of the City of Montebello.

Race Info

Annual Montebello Heritage 5K/10K Run along the historic Whittier Blvd. The 5k begins at 8:00 a.m. at Montebello City Park. All participants receive a shirt and medal. The first 700 registered runners will receive their shirt and medal that day. All late registrants will still receive their shirt and medal for pickup within two weeks.

Course Description

Starts just across Veterans Memorial on Whittier Blvd. Covers Montebello Blvd and Olympic (see course route below). Gradual incline and decline on Montebello Blvd.

Considered to be a very fast course for both the One Legacy Montebello 5K (1 loop) and Run Montebello 10K (2 loops).

Recovery Water Stations

Water & electrolytes will be available at Whittier & Montebello Blvd at the start/finish line. There will be additional water stations throughout the course.

Parking

Allow plenty of time to get to the registration area and pick up your bib & t-shirt. Arrive early and factor in traffic to ensure you make it to the start line on time. There is plenty of parking in the main area, around Montebello Intermediate School, 1600 W. Whittier Blvd. Additional parking located at the Montebello Intermediate School Parking lot via eastbound at Vail Avenue.

In the event that we run out of Finisher Medals because of the overwhelming success in attendance, we will be providing them two weeks after the event for pick up at the Montebello Recreation Office on Victoria Ave. We will take down your information at the conclusion of the event to make sure we have your award ready within that time.

The first 700 registered for 5k/10k are guaranteed a shirt and medal on raceday. Aztlan Athletics will take down your information for later pickup.
