The McCoy Creek Trail Project is a collaborative effort between the City, the Buchanan Area Recreation Board and the Friends of McCoy's Creek Trail to connect the City for the local residents and visitors.
Originally, the Project sought to simply provide a walking and biking path that would meet an increased demand for those types of activities. The trail concept soon began mature into a project that incorporates Buchanan's unique history with the local economy as it travels through downtown, with natural amenities such as McCoy Creek, Spafford Woods, E.B. Clark Woods and Bakertown Fen.
The Project has had a mobilizing effect on the community, as residents and businesses unite in a meaningful way to guarantee its continued success. The McCoy's Creek Trail Project is a symbol of renewal, pride and quality of life for which Buchanan stands.
Your additional donation(s) helps make the established more than 6 miles of forests, prairies, The Buchanan Common and a designated trout stream all possible for years to come for all to enjoy.
