Did you know the Portage Cross Country Invitational is a nonprofit organization?
We support young athletes and cross-country in the following ways:
- Senior Scholarship Program -
- Senior athletes whose teams are participating in the Portage Invite are eligible to apply for a scholarship of up to $2,000 to support their future endeavors. More information on the scholarship can be found at www.PortageInvite.com.
- Shoe Distribution Program -
- This program serves the middle school and high school cross country programs in Portage Public Schools and Kalamazoo Public Schools by providing a set number of free shoes to each team for athletes who may experience barriers accessing footwear.
- Portage Invitational Event -
- This event is among the top 10 largest cross country events in the nation providing athletes an experience unlike any other to compete in a premier environment. We also provide medals for all of our races and ensure we give out more medals than most so athletes who may not always have the chance to medal get one!
Our mission is to create access, opportunity, and support to foster a positive cross-country experience for all through education, leadership development, and participation. We create a positive cross-country experience for all through premier events, education, and leadership development.
