The primary purpose of the Lake Run Organization is to help raise funding for local Olympia area public high school Cross Country and Track & Field programs. Olympia Rotary also supports local high school youth through grants and scholarships. While sponsors and your entry fee help offset operating expenses for the races, donations go directly to the bottom line of helping provide funds to local youth.
The following example amounts illustrate how your donation helps:
$5 - Provides snacks at a meet or event
$10 - Buys a team T-shirt
$25 - Contributes to partial uniform cost
$50 - Helps an athlete travel and compete in an out of town meet overnight
