ADA-accessible parking is available by driving past general parking on Angle Lane, then turning right.
The registration area is not accessible via a paved path; guests must approach on grass. Guests may skip going to the registration area if they have already picked up their packets and t-shirts earlier in the week, or a team member may pick up on their behalf. Additionally, staff will be available to assist with registration and pick-up in the Pavilion area, if needed. A map of parking and the event space is available here.
Hunger Walk kicks off at the Pavilion, including live music and words from EFN's leadership. This space is ADA-accessible, including restrooms.
Before the walk portion of the event, we will feature a Zumba® instructor leading a warmup. Zumba® is "for everybody and every body," and guests are invited to participate in whatever way they feel comfortable. After the walk portion of the event, we will feature a yoga instructor leading a gentle standing flow. Guests are also invited to participate in whatever way they feel comfortable.
Local businesses and organizations will host vendor booths near the Pavilion. These vendor booths may be on either grass or a paved area.
Our walk will begin at the Pavilion and loop around Waughop Lake, then return to the Pavilion. The loop around Waughop Lake is a flat, paved path. The primary path from the Pavilion to the loop includes grass and uneven ground. Staff will be available to direct guests on an alternate, paved path along Angle Lane that connects with the primary event path and the Waughop Lake Loop. A map of the primary walking path is available here.
EFN values every community member and guest at Hunger Walk. If your accessibility questions or needs are not addressed here, please reach out at Events@efoodnet.org or 253-584-1040.
