Move Out! - HSHC 4th Annual Miles for Ministry Fundraiser

Thursday, September 1 - Friday, September 30, 2022

How The Challenge Works:

Participants are challenged to spend a total of 480 minutes outside during the month of September (120 minutes/week) while asking their friends and family for their encouragement and support in the form of monetary donations to HSHC. Participants can collect ‘Creation Minutes’ via a variety of activities including walking, gardening, talking with neighbors, playing with children, reading a book, watching the sunset, or simply resting outside.

Step 1: Each participant will set a fundraising goal of 480 ‘Creation Minutes’ multiplied by the dollar amount per minute they want to raise in support of HSHC.

Note: 120 minutes/week x 4 weeks = 480 minutes (2 hours per week)

Use this chart to help set your goal, or come up with your own dollar amount per minute!

Goal per Creation Minute and Total Fundraising Goal:
$.25/minute x 480 minutes = $120
$.50/minute x 480 minutes = $240
$1/minute x 480 minutes = $480
$2/minute x 480 minutes = $960

Step 2: Invite family and friends to help you reach your goal by:

+ Giving what they can.
+ Sending you encouraging messages as you work towards improving your health via the beauty and benefits of creation!

Step 3: Record your 'Creation Minutes' via your profile. You'll receive specific instructions in the Participant's Guide found in your registration confirmation email.

Additional Information:

+ Spending time outside can be done alone or in teams (encourage your family and friends to join you!).
+ You can connect your fundraiser to Facebook to share with your network and offer them an easy way to give.

Registration is open and will continue through August 28.
