Description

Join us June 14, 2025 at Marvin Efird Park (8909 New Town Rd) for the 2nd Annual Equal Footing 5k hosted by Let's Include Landon!

This year it's a COLOR RUN!  Registration starts at 8:30AM and the run begins at 9AM.

This race is for EVERYONE who wants to be part of a meaningful morning - families, run clubs, high school track & field/cross country, sports teams.

Funds raised support inclusive summer sports for kids with and without disabilities - including a basketball, golf clinic, and tennis clinic.  Opportunities for neurodiverse kids age 5-12 to play competitively with their neurotypical peers are greatly needed and currently underserved in our community.

This is a feel-good cause you can be proud to support!  Enjoy a color powder run, flavor your own water hydration station, music, complimentary face painting, balloon art, ice cream, playground, local partners, and a silent auction - all in a beautiful park setting with wooded/shaded trails.

Be part of something meaningful.  REGISTER NOW!

The vision for Let's Include Landon is that we create opportunities to bring children with and without disabilities together - not just for a day of an event, or a week of camp, but to create lifelong friendships.  We cannot wait to see the mutually beneficial relationships grow.  For children with disabilities they will benefit from being just as much a part of their community as their non-disabled peers, be part of a team, have a best friend, create true friendships, and have a sense of belonging.  And non-disabled peers will benefit from learning compassion, patience, respect, kindness, citizenship, and understanding the value of differences and how to successfully work and play with people who are different.
