Trailblazers and fun-chasers, grab your sneakers and head to Camp Manatoc on May 24th! With a 2-4-8 hour format and a rowdy relay option, Fools is your ticket to ultra-ready prep or a wild day with your trail posse, taking on 5k loops of pure trail magic.
NEW 2-4-8 Hour Format!
Fools is your ultimate training ground for longer races like the Burning River Endurance Run & Relay. The 5k course, with 167 feet of climb per loop, is packed with wide-open trails, twisty singletrack, and sassy hills. Choose 2, 4, or 8 hours to stack loops and master your endurance game. With a fully stocked aid station at the end of each loop and space to set up your own rest area, you can test what works without the pressure of a point-to-point.

NEW Relay Format!
Looking for an unforgettable day on the trails? The Fools Relay is where it’s at! Grab your best trail buddies and form a team to tackle as many 5k loops as you can in 8 hours. There’s no better way to bond than cheering each other on through the pine forest, past Minnehaha Falls, and over the scenic hills of Camp Manatoc’s private trails.
- Team Vibes: Share laughs, strategy, and high-fives with your trail posse. Build camaraderie and practice teamwork for your Burning River 100M Relay in July.
- Pit Stop Party: Hit the fully stocked aid station or your own cozy rest zone to recharge.
- Fun for All: Bring your family and friends and a picnic vibe – there's plenty of room for spectating, and everyone’s welcome to join the fun!
Course
Other than a road crossing or two, the course is 100% trails – from wide open trail to twisting and turning single track, and some challenging hills of course! Click here to view the Fools Course Maps (167 ft gain per 5k loop)

Awards
Awards for 2/4/8 Hour solo events:
- Top 3 Overall Male and Female
- Top 3 Male and Female in the following 5-year age groups:
24 & Under, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & Over
Awards for 8 Hour Relay event:
- Top 1 Men's Team
- Top 1 Women's Team
- Top 3 Co-Ed Teams (Female participants must run at least 25% of the time to be considered for Co-Ed awards)
Endurance Athletes of the Year
Participate in 4 events to qualify and have a chance to be an Ohio Endurance Athlete of the Year! Qualifiers receive a trading card with your photo and Ohio Endurance Series race stats. Awards will be given for the Top 5 Overall, Top 1 Masters, Top 1 Grand Master.

Race Day Details
- LOCATION: Camp Manatoc, 1075 Truxell Rd, Peninsula, OH 44264
- START TIME: 8:00 AM
- AID STATIONS
- We will have open areas where participants can set up their own rest/aid area. Participants are encouraged to carry water.
- One aid station located near the start/finish will serve the following: TBD
- DOGS
- Dogs are permitted to spectate and/or run on course at Camp Manatoc on race day.
- They must remain leashed at all times and are not allowed in the area of the aid station.
