Frozen Custard 5k

All registered participants receive:

• 3.1 mile walk/run throughout the iconic Washington Park

• Custard Patch (pin or sew it!)

• Custom Custard/Ice Cream Dish

• Complimentary dish of Fred's frozen custard on race day - chocolate, vanilla, or twist!

• Chip-Timed race; all ages and abilities are welcome

• Enjoy Washington Park Wednesdays Concert Series' LIVE ART! night with music, live artists, and many community partners

• Donation to Washington Park Neighbors + Hunger Task Force Food Drive

PLUS! All registered participants will receive a bonus one-scoop sundae at Bubba's Frozen Custard!

Optional add-on t-shirt: To keep the pricing as low as possible for this event, t-shirts are not included.  During sign-up, optional short-sleeved t-shirts will be available as an add-on for both kids and general registrations! Shirts will be picked up alongside your packet.

*Prepare for a longer wait on race day. Early pick-up is strongly encouraged. You MAY pick up someone else's packet.

Dogs are not allowed on the course, but socialized leashed pups are welcome in the public park.

Strollers are allowed but must begin towards the back of the line. This is an out-and-back course so for the safety of everyone, we ask that strollers be avoided in the wave 1 + 2 crowds. Please stay to the right, be courteous of fellow racers, and be cautious of your surroundings to allow for other racers to pass as needed.

You may transfer to the virtual event at any time for no charge. Please note: You MUST complete the transfer via your account so we know to mail it out to you.

About us + the event: In 2013, we started Four One Four Events in our Riverwest living room with our first race, the Sweet Home Milwaukee 5k, and were met with a wonderful and supportive community. In 2014, we moved to an amazing little neighborhood on the Near West Side of Milwaukee, called Martin Drive; a small, tight-knit area in our City with the kindest neighbors. Then in 2019, we were lucky to become the next owner+operators of our neighborhood shop, Fred's Frozen Custard & Grill. Since 1967, Fred's has created joyful memories for generations of families in the surrounding neighborhoods. To no surprise, we were met with another incredible community when we became the next caretakers of Fred's. Sensing a theme? We have some pretty awesome people around us. ;-)

This year, we celebrate more than a decade of Four One Four Events and our 5th anniversary of Fred's - all because of our community. We are grateful and excited to bring everyone together to enjoy the historic and beautiful Washington Park, local artists, and our super cool corner of the world. In a world of options, we thank you for choosing to support local and small businesses!
