2026 Urban Bourbonite Application

Become an Official Urban Bourbonite: Ambassadors Wanted for the 2026 Race!

Passionate about fitness and Louisville's premiere fall half marathon and 5K? Join the Louisville Sports Commission and help us spread the spirit of the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon and 5K! We're seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve as official race ambassadors—our "Urban Bourbonites"—to promote the event and increase registration both locally and regionally for the race on Oct. 17, 2026.

If selected, you’ll join an amazing group of local and regional runners and unlock exclusive ambassador perks:

• Discount/referral code for friends, family, and marketing purposes.
• Complimentary 2026 Urban Bourbon Half Marathon or Urban Bourbon 5K registration (after five uses of your code).
• Complimentary VIP packet pick-up (after 10 uses of your code).
• Bourbon-themed dinner for you and a guest (after 20 uses of your code).
• Official Urban Bourbonite apparel.
   

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Maintain an outgoing, active presence consistent with the values of the Louisville Sports Commission.
• Wear Urban Bourbon Half Marathon apparel at other races.
• Familiarize yourself with all race details (course, pricing, events, etc.) to answer questions from prospective participants.
• Promote the race via social media and distribute printed materials at local gyms, coffee shops, and fitness facilities.
• Participate in monthly virtual meetings.
• Volunteer for at least one regional race expo and/or a three-hour shift at packet pick-up the Friday before the race.
• Participate in the Urban Bourbon Half Marathon on October 18, either as a runner or volunteer.
   

Applications will be accepted until January 31, with final selections made in late February.
