Cajun Strong is a strength and endurance event designed to test both your mental toughness and physical conditioning. Whether you're looking for the motivation to get back in shape—or get in shape for the first time—this event is for you. Participants will have access to a 10-week training program that is fully scalable to all fitness levels, from beginner walkers to seasoned athletes.
To become “Cajun Strong” / To earn the title of “Cajun Strong,” participants must complete all rounds, exercises/actions, and requirements of their chosen event within the allotted time frame.
Course Overview
Each round will consist of 4 actions.
1. Rougarou Run - Quarter mile run.
2. Poboy Pushups - 20 Pushups.
3. Climb de Coush Coush - 3 hill climbs up Orlando Mountain.
4. Pirogue Pull - Standing still, pull a miniature pirogue filled with concrete 30 feet.
Race Details NEW FOR 2025
Cajun Strong Full - 10 rounds under 120 minutes
Cajun Strong Half - 5 rounds under 50 minutes
Cajun Strong Kids - 10 rounds under 90 minutes
*Cajun Strong Kids distance has modified actions of (10)pushups and (2)hill climbs per round.
