Event Description
Join the SouthCoast’s signature Mother’s Day tradition. Run, fundraise, or start a team—be part of something bigger this Mother’s Day.
The Women’s Fund SouthCoast Mother’s Day 5K brings together 1000+ runners, walkers, families, and teams each year to celebrate community while investing in women and girls across our region.
Our event is a joyful community celebration—bringing together people of all ages and paces to move, connect, and honor the mother figures who shape our lives.
Set against the beautiful waterfront at Cisco Brewers in New Bedford, the course follows a scenic oceanfront route before finishing in a lively post-race celebration with live music, food and drink, family-friendly activities, and time by the water with the people you care about.
Whether you’re running, walking, pushing a stroller, or cheering from the sidelines, you belong here. Many participants make this event part of their Mother’s Day tradition—returning each year to celebrate together.
Proceeds benefit the Women’s Fund SouthCoast, advancing gender, racial, and economic justice through research, grantmaking, and advocacy across the SouthCoast region and beyond.
How Your Support Empowers Women
For more than two decades, the Women’s Fund SouthCoast (WFSC) has been a convener, funder, and catalyst for gender, racial, and economic justice across Southeastern Massachusetts. We believe that when women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals thrive, entire communities rise. Our vision is a SouthCoast where opportunity is not determined by gender or zip code — and where women’s voices are valued not as a side note, but as the blueprint for progress itself.
The Women’s Fund SouthCoast advances gender, racial, and economic justice through research, grantmaking, and advocacy. We do this by pairing data with action — investing in local leadership, amplifying community wisdom, and ensuring that those most affected by inequity are at the center of the solutions.
