Hot for Chocolate 5K

The Calvert County Community Partners race beneficiaries are Project ECHO and the Friends of Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum. Project ECHO provides hope for the homeless by providing emergency shelter and supportive housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Calvert County. The Friends of Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum support educational programming and free events such as Children's Day on the Farm.

PRICING IS UNTIL THE RACE IS SOLD OUT! The LAST 100 spots will be on a live countdown on the website until full.

Standard rates are for ages 13 - 99.

February 10, 2025 -  February 14, 2025:  $30

February 15, 2025 - November 27, 2025:  $35

November 28, 2025 - January 31, 2026:  $40

February 1, 2026 - March 6, 2026: $45

RACE DAY: March 7, 2026:  $50

Kids' rates are not time-sensitive and will not change for the 2026 Race Series.

Ages 4 - 12: $25

Ages 0 - 3: Free

There will be no refunds given due to the rescheduled date. Participants have the following options:

1. Join us on race day, Saturday, March 7th
2. Swap your registration to virtual and complete the race on a date and time that work best for your family. You can still pick up your race shirts and medals at Project ECHO during packet pickup time if you are local or request them be mailed to you.
3. Defer your registration to Neon Nights 2026 or Turkey Trot 2026 for a $10 deferral fee.

7:00 a.m. - 7:40 a.m. Participant arrival and parking. Park entrance gates close to all traffic at 7:45 a.m. Don't be late!

7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. Participant check-in at the Pavilion (only necessary for those not taking advantage of early check-in and packet pickup). *Registration will be in the Pavilion ONLY IF the race hasn't reached capacity.

7:50 a.m. Warm-up

8:00 a.m. RACE START

8:20 a.m. Hot Chocolate Bar opens!

9:00 a.m. (approximate): Awards ceremony in the Pavilion

The course map will be available the week of the race.

The 5K will start and end at the Pavilion at Jefferson Patterson Park & Museum.

Top Overall Male, Top Overall Female, and the Top 3 Males and Females in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
