Training Runs
It's time to see what you're getting yourself into and join me at Morgan Monroe Forest for some training runs. There will be a total of 5 opportunities.
We will be scouting out this years MoMoFo 100k & 20 mile fun run route and breaking it down into sections. These will be self supported runs.
This weekend April 26 & 27 we will be doing each of the 10 mile loops that exist in Morgan Monroe.
10 AM On Saturday we will meet at Walls Shelter and run the Low Gap trail in it's entirety. This will be a 10 mile self supported run that starts and finishes at Walls shelter.
MoMoFo Training Run #1
10 AM On Sunday we will meet at Walls Shelter and run the 3 Lakes Loop in it's entirety. This will be a 10 mile self supported run that starts and finishes at Walls Shelter.
MoMoFo Training run #2
Next weekend May 3 & 4 we will meet at the MoMoFo start finish area at Cherry Lake. WE will be going a little further on Saturday with a 13 mile run that includes Mason Ridge and the Low Gap trail. Sunday will leave from Cherry Lake and we will run the 3 Lakes loop for 10 miles.
10 AM Saturday May 3 meeting at Cherry Lake. This will be a self supported 13 mile run that starts and finishes at Cherry Lake. As mentioned it will include Mason Ridge and all of Low Gap.
10 AM Sunday May 4 meeting at Cherry Lake. Once again a self supported run but this day we will do the 3 Lakes Trail in it's entirety.
MoMoFo training run #4
The final training run will be on May 10 at 10 AM and will depart from Cherry Lake. This will be just the 3 Lakes Loop.
10 AM Saturday May 10 at Cherry Lake. This will be a 10 mile, self supported run of 3 Lakes Trail in it's entirety.
MoMoFo Training run #5
All are welcome to join. This is not a sanctioned event or race. Please feel free to come and bring anyone that might want to see what all these crazy trail shenanigans are about. Don't forget to bring a chair and any snacks or beverages that you like post run.
