This is a brand new race from Stubborn Donkey Running! We are excited to team up with the city of Weldon & Weldon Mills Distillery to bring you a well crafted 24 hour event this December! Come celebrate the end of Prohibition, decide your proof, and how you’ll age on the trail! This is your chance to put your Stubborn Spirit on display while running on the historic Roanoke Canal Trail! All distances will get a medal, 100 mile runners will earn a specially crafted buckle.

The course consists of a flat 4.2 mile out and back with mixed terrain that is primarily dirt path. The loop will begin and end in the River Falls Park where there will be ample space for runners to set up their tents along the course with adjacent parking and portajohns on site. You will need a light source for the nighttime miles. We will have a killer aid station (we know this is an eating festival plagued by running), music and chip timing! The race occurs in front of the Weldon Mills Distillery and runners and crew are able to pop in and enjoy a beverage as they truck along while the business is open for operation!

-Saturday 12/5 Packet Pickup 7am; Race Starts at 8am!
-Sunday 12/6: Race ends at 8am
