If you can't Fly: RUN. If you can't Run- WALK. If you can't Walk- CRAWL. But whatever you do- KEEP MOVING FORWARD~ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Covenant House NJ provides housing for over 200 youth (ages 18-21) EVERY NIGHT. We serve over 4,000 youth every year across 10 programs in NJ and offer unconditional love and support. Many of our youth find themselves at Covenant House after aging out of foster care, being victims of human trafficking, running away from an abusive environment, or being kicked out of their homes as a result of the LGBTQ status. No matter what brought them to Covenant House, we emphasize RESILIENCY, HOPE, and NEVER giving up.
118.2 miles marks the distance between our two shelters in Newark, NJ, and Atlantic City. Between NOW and September 10th, WE CHALLENGE YOU to MOVE 118.2 miles to raise funds and awareness and show our young people at Covenant House that YOU are willing to GO THE DISTANCE for them and encourage them to KEEP GOING!! You can run or walk the miles; it's up to you! We know 118.2 may be a tall order- You can still make your miles count by signing up for a 5K or 10K distance and dedicating one of your daily runs or walks to helping us Go the Distance and Out Run Homelessness!
Being homeless is a marathon, not a sprint. For many of our kids, it feels hard to keep going forward. We need YOU to show them it IS possible! One step. One mile. One day at a time. Take the challenge and be a champion for homeless youth! Sign up TODAY!
