Description
You are invited to come celebrate the start of the NFL football season as we are offering a unique and fun 5K event to coincide with the first game of the new season on Thursday, September 7 between the KC Chiefs and the Detroit Lions. All participants will receive a high quality custom football and finisher medal along with a ticket for a post run "tailgate" party at Pizza Boys. For those of you familiar with the Utica Ugly Sweater 5K it will look quite similar but hopefully a tad warmer and no snow on the 5K course.
All participants are encouraged to wear their favorite teams shirts for this event. You are welcome to be as creative as you would like to be with your running apparel. We will not only be offering awards for the running competition (Top finishers/Age Groups) but also for the best, wildest and most creative "team" outfits
The My Team 5K will start at 6:30pm so that we can all roll into Pizza Boy's to watch the opening kickoff. Pizza Boy's always does an amazing job with their food offerings. Our friends from Southern Tier Brewing will be there offering drink specials as well.
The My Team 5K event will benefit the NY Mills PTSO.
