INTRODUCING THE KNICKERBOCKER MILE
Ever since Sir Roger Bannister ran the first sub-four minute mile at the Iffey Road Track in Oxford in 1956, the mile has held a special allure. It's an unforgiving distance against which both track and distance runners can measure themselves.
You can test yourself at the inaugural Knickerbocker Mile on 11th October, 2025. The measured mile is the flat straightaway along "Knickerbocker Road" at Rockland Lake State Park. The race will be held in heats between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM with old-school stopwatch timing.
