Run the Border: Dave’s OH/MI 8K & 5K Race Returns!

Sylvania, Ohio - March 10, 2026

Runners and walkers from across northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan will battle at the border for the annual Dave’s OH-MI 8K & 5K, a unique cross-state race experience that celebrates fitness, community...and a great post-race party.

The event begins at Centennial Terrace where participants will take on a scenic course that highlights the both Ohio and Michigan. It does this by creating a route that starts in Ohio and travels through scenic Michigan and ends up back in Ohio. The race welcomes runners of all abilities, from competitive racers chasing a personal best to families and walkers looking to enjoy a fun morning outdoors.

Following the race, participants and spectators are invited to continue the celebration inside Centennial Terrace for an energetic afterparty featuring live music from the popular local band Wet Bandits Band. The post-race gathering will include music, refreshments, awards, and plenty of space for runners to relax and celebrate their accomplishments with friends and fellow racers.

The OH/MI race has become a regional favorite thanks to its welcoming atmosphere and festive finish line celebration. Whether participants come for the run, the music, or the post-race party, the event offers something for everyone.

Not able to commit to the run!? That's ok, you can also just buy the concert tickets to party out with your friends to the nostalgia of the 90's.
