Welcome to our 12th Annual NAMI Lehigh Valley Race & Walk!
Once again, we have several ways you can participate:
100% of the proceeds goes directly to NAMI Lehigh Valley to support our mission of providing education and support to individuals and families affected by mental illness and to educating the public about mental health.
A Few Details: Parking is mostly off-site, so allow time to get to the park. See PARKING info and interactive map below. There is a nice playground. The park does not permit dogs and smoking. The events will be held rain or shine. They will be cancelled in the event of dangerous weather, in which case, there will not be a refund.
Thank you for your interest in participating, volunteering, or donating and for helping us raise awareness and reduce the stigma of mental illness.
We can't wait to see you Sunday, August 28th at the lovely Wayne A. Grube Memorial Park in Northampton!!
Connie Biwer Yaqub, Race Director
Option 1. If you have health concerns, from the intersection of Hwy. 22 and Airport Rd (Route 987 North), take Route 987 north 1 mile. Turn left at the light onto Race Street. Go 1.2 miles to the next light. Go right at the light onto Willowbrook Road. Go 1.2 miles and enter Wayne A. Grube Park on your right, 1200 Willowbrook Rd., Northampton.
Option 2. (Preferred): If you do not have health concerns, please park at Catasauqua High School, 2500 W Bullshead Rd, Northampton, PA 18067. From the corner of Race Street and Willowbrook Rd, go 1.7 miles north on Willowbrook, which is 1/2 mile past the park entrance. Go through the light 1/8 mile and go left into the Catasauqua High School parking lot. Walk to Wayne A. Grube Memorial Park, crossing at the stoplight on W. Bullshead (enter park on foot right at the traffic light, not at the car entrance). This is about 1/2 mile from the park so please plan on a 10-20 minute walk. Please watch for traffic, stay on the sidewalk, and do not walk on Bullshead.
You can also take the shuttle bus from the school parking lot to/from the park. This is available for limited hours, so likely isn't suitable for the runners.
