About FIAGKV

It's more than just a ride...

Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley is a volunteer organization providing free services to older adults in Kanawha and Putnam counties.

Our volunteers assist seniors with transportation to medical appointments, trips to the grocery store, friendly check-in phone calls, and minor home repairs and maintenance projects. Each December, we run the Senior Christmas Bureau, offering holiday joy to hundreds of our more isolated care receivers. Because we are a private nonprofit, we are also able to respond to unique or emergent needs presented to us that no other agency can meet.

We have a vibrant force of over 250 trained and vetted volunteers and have served more than 500 of our older neighbors. Our volunteers appreciate the flexibility they have in scheduling and the variety of meaningful ways to engage. Our seniors appreciate the reliable and friendly personal attention they receive.

We are truly a local program dependent on local support from friends like you to fulfill our mission of service to our older neighbors, so they can age in place, in their own homes, with confidence and dignity. By registering for our VIRTUAL Pedal with Purpose 60+ Mile Challenge today, the money you raise will sustain our incredible volunteers and the vital services we provide. With your help, we will continue to ensure our older friends get the helping hand they need, neighbor to neighbor.

100% of the net proceeds of this event go to support the programs of Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Charleston, West Virginia.
