The 5k course starts and finishes at the Nature Center, overlooking Lake Loretta. The course uses technical single- and double-track trails throughout Alley Park, with a small bit of paved and gravel road at the beginning and end of the course. A water stop will be available near the halfway point. This course makes for an excellent introduction to trail running, showcasing the foothills of Ohio’s Appalachian region.

The 28k course starts at the same time as the 5k and requires five total loops of the park. A fully stocked aid station will be available at the start/finish with food, water, and electrolyte drinks. Runners can also receive aid from their crew and place drop bags at this location. While far shorter than a traditional marathon, this race will feel like an ultra and put to rest the adage that “Ohio is flat.” 

The 28k course will have a cut-off of four hours and thirty minutes.
