As we look back on the end of the 2020 school year, we find ourselves seeking out new ways to continue to support and fund the programs most important to our students. After the success of our first annual Westview Band Run2Music 5K last fall, we are continuing on with this family-friendly community event… Virtually! Our Virtual Run2Music will take place the weekend of September 26-27. Participants can complete the 5k during the weekend, and then post finisher photos to our event facebook page.
Our mission is simple: To help keep music education equitable for ALL who want to participate… while remaining small, affordable, and FUN.
For more than twenty years, the Award Winning Westview High School Band Program has provided students with the invaluable opportunity to develop a lifelong love of music in a creative, collaborative environment. Our annual budget is funded in part through fundraising activities and the remainder must be paid through band member/family financial participation. WBAPO is proud to fund many scholarships for students through our fundraising efforts.
We are looking for community business partners to sponsor our event. All Sponsors will be listed on our registration website, receive multiple posts on our Facebook page and Instagram in the weeks leading up to our event, and are encouraged to include coupons/deals for our participants in our Virtual Swag Bag. We are looking for one community business partner to sponsor the race medal and race bib so that the profits from the race fees can be used to support our band programming. Your logo and business name will be included on the medal ribbon and race bib, as well as on our registration website and facebook page.
