While this is a "race"; not all races need to be a Personal Best. Please consider slowing your pace considerably with a slow run/jog/walk. Do not overextend yourself. It's more important to stay safe and have fun.
Because this is a looped course, there is an easy opportunity to cut the course short at the 1 Mile water stop.  Please consider this option if you feel too hot and this is in your best interest.  If you cut the course short, be sure to notify GDFAR staff so we can remove your finish time as a 5K.
