The Sassafras 8-Mile Challenge isn’t your average “eight and done.” This one climbs, bites back a little, and then pays you back with jaw-dropping views from the tallest point in South Carolina. Bring your grit, bring your camera, and be ready for an 8-miler that feels like a mountain handshake: firm, unforgettable, and slightly rude in the best way. ⛰️🌄💪
When you conquer the climb and make it back to the finish, you’ll earn a finisher medal that says you didn’t just show up, you earned it. You’ll also get a custom race bib as your badge of mountain courage, plus event-themed giveaways and a race sticker perfect for your bottle, car, or cooler to keep the brag alive long after the soreness fades. 🏅🎽🎁🧷
We’ll have complimentary race photos to capture every gritty moment, and once you’re done throwing high-fives and stretching in dramatic poses, it’s time to celebrate with a post-race party featuring music, pancakes, and good vibes. Course: A steep & winding road climb leading to the summit of Sassafras Mountain, followed by a scenic trail descent back toward the finish.
Elevation Gain: Expect a significant climb—this is a true mountain challenge.
